eine visuelle klang-installation

2. - 9. september im ulmer museum

flüsse bedürfen der poesie...
vergangene zivilisationen und poeten aller kulturen standen flüssen und gewässern auch immer eine symbolische, ja eine mythische bedeutung zu.

das leitmotiv der installation bildet das gedicht "donau" des wiener schriftstellers ferdinand schmatz. video-und klangkompositionen kontrastieren den poetischen text, provozieren unverhoffte hör- und blickpunkte, schaffen die imagination eines kreativen donau-europäischen cross-over.

vier projektionsflächen, als kreuzende achsen angeordnet, kommunizieren visuell und akustisch miteinander.

die installation überträgt klänge der donau in den ausstellungsraum, ein hydrophon (unterwasser-mikrofon) lädt die betrachter-zuhörer ein, in das klanggeschehen einzugreifen. so wird das wasser der donau nicht nur als lebensspendends element wahrnehmbar, sondern auch als träger energetischer information.

nuzheng
guzheng / fx / live looping

the guzheng, an ancient chinese string instrument, dates back over 4000 years dates back over 4000 years and has played an important role in chinese musical history as both a court and folk instrument. only recently it has been introduced into contemporary and experimental music.

fascinated by its pacifying sound, i love to play the guzheng in a rather meditative way. my studies of traditional music in india and a creative collaboration with indian musicians, took my playing the guzheng into an entirely different direction, applying the typical elements of raga music, like note bending, micro tonal intervals, playful ornaments, rhythmic patterns and the elaborated time cycles.

 

 

cosmic reflections
eine getantze inspiration mit livemusik und visuals

cosmic reflections ist von der gleichnamigem kollagen-serie der malerin brigitte smith angeregt. 21 tableaux zeigen drei gruppen mit jeweils verschiedenen grundmotiven: der buddha, der mensch vor dem symbolisierten absoluten und der wegweiser. interessanterweise überlagern sich diese drei motive mit den drei bewusstseins-zuständen alter yogischer texte, die sich mit innerer erfahrung beschäftigen.

die cosmic reflections performance bindet diese strukturellen prinzipien der bewusstseinsebenen in ihr spiel mit ein und präsentiert ein kontemplatives fest der sinne, der seele und des geistes. tanz, musik und visuals interagieren mit den schöpferischen und wandelbaren kräften der 21 kollagen, begegnen verborgenen seelenschichten. mehr
